On Monday (26/6), PT YKK AP Indonesia undertook the planting of 5,000 rare mangroves at Ketapang Urban Aquaculture, located in Ketapang Village, Mauk District, Tangerang Regency. This initiative to preserve mangroves is part of PT YKK AP Indonesia’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The aim is to mitigate carbon emissions (achieve carbon neutrality), combat coastal abrasion caused by climate change, and contribute to the company’s efforts in fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year’s mangrove conservation activity marks the eighth planting cycle since it was first carried out in 2015. To date, PT YKK AP Indonesia has successfully planted a total of 31,000 mangroves.
